Our Story

Family-owned and operated.

Building connections and sharing beauty and joy with our community.

Hi! I’m Kaleigh, primary grower, bouquet arranger and the one who dreamed up this vision here at Front Porch Farm! My husband, Jarrod, is the guy who helped me execute this dream and works primarily behind the scenes, building the beds, installing fencing, driver of the flower truck, and all-around handy man. But every now and then, you might find him helping me crank out a few bouquets :)

My love of flowers first began at a young age watching and helping my mom and grandma dote and tend to their rose bushes and beautifully landscaped flower beds. As an adult, I enjoyed growing our own vegetables and tending to our landscaped flowers, but life has a way of throwing you a curveball and one in which I never imagined by becoming a flower farmer.

My husband, young twins and I moved to our 5 acre property in 2018, two weeks before we had our third child. That following Spring, we broke ground on the beginning stages of our new veggie garden on this property. One year later, we added more raised beds and with our children in tow, we planted, weeded, watered, and harvested together. I thoroughly enjoyed being outside and seeing the miracle that one tiny seed could create and being able to share the bounty with friends and family. As I was planning ahead to the gardening season of 2021, I knew I wanted to add more cut flowers. In my research, I went down the most amazing rabbit hole of the world of cut flowers and I never looked back!

So, in late winter/early spring, we built six more raised beds, added ten 3 ft x 50 ft rows and began working on another 50 ft x 50 ft space for sunflowers, with future plans to add more perennials. This is all mostly within our backyard and totals about 1/4 acre of our five.

And so, Front Porch Farm fresh cut flowers came to be in the Spring of 2021.

I have fallen in love with the process of growing, harvesting and arranging our cut flowers with the use of sustainable practices that have a positive impact on our environment. Bringing beauty and joy to the homes and spaces of my customers has provided me with immense satisfaction and a new purpose.

I followed this unexpected dream —the road where new doors and my heart opened up to. I’m so very excited to be sharing my flowers with my community, hearing your stories, growing connections and having you be a part of Front Porch Farm! Want to get to know us more? Check out our Instagram !!

Lil’ Red Truck

Our 1950 Chevy 3100

This beautiful truck was sitting in an old barn collecting dust the last 3 years at a former horse farm in South Carolina. I mentioned the idea of adding a flower truck kind of flippantly to my husband, but apparently the mere mention of it had him excited and on the hunt. As luck would have it, his dad remembered a neighbor of his trying to sell an old red chevy a year prior and asked us if we’d like to see if was still for sale. Well, of course we did! So here we are!

Our farmstand at the farm

This is one of the highlights of the summer. We load up buckets of bouquets and jars full of fresh cut blooms. With coffee in hand, we have nice visits with neighbors, new customers and familiar faces weekly. Fresh flowers brightened everyone’s weekend! We also sell our fresh eggs as available during farmstand mornings.

Flower Truck pop-ups at local businesses.

During the 2021 season, we popped up at a couple boutiques and a ladies event at a gym. Sharing our fresh blooms and supporting other small businesses has been a unique and fun way to connect with our community!
